Abundance municipal investment impact survey: August 2026

The University of Leeds wants your view on the impact of municipal investments

Professor Mark Davis and Dr Emma Hyde, both at the University of Leeds, are leading a project titled '‘The Pound to the Ground’, funded by the ESRC: Economic and Social Research Council.

The project aims to evaluate the non-financial benefits of Community Municipal Investments (CMIs). They are already interviewing councils about the model, and also want to understand investors' views on the broader impact of municipal investments.

If you are happy to share your views, please complete the short survey on the link below. It should only take 10 minutes to complete. All answers are anonymous. The topics covered include your motivation for investing in councils, and whether the experience has had an impact on how you feel about, and engage with, local government. If you take part, your responses will be passed to the University of Leeds to be used as part of their research project.

As a thank you for taking part in this survey, three completed surveys will be selected at random and each participant will be given a £100 donation to a charity of their choice. Simply leave your email address where indicated if you wish to take part in the draw.
